The show was presented for the 187th time this year, from 1-3 March at the Swellendam show grounds. “We are proud of this award and will again be part of the show in 2019,” said Emilius Tomlinson, Managing Director of JDI.
The variety of stalls sported numerous delicacies and lots to look at. Obviously JDI was part of the fun and exhibited a number of whole goods and implements, from a D110 grass cutter to a R4045 sprayer. RTK's precision trailer was also present to provide information to the community.
The theme of this year's show was “Royalty” and there was enough entertainment for young and old. The well-known Herman Lensing treated 200 ladies at the ladies event with his “Royalty”-dishes and entertainers such as Arno Jordaan and the Heuwels Fantasties hosted a music festival on Saturday night. Cattle, poultry, sheep, SA Boer horses, SA Flemish horses, Welsh ponies, dogs and cats were on show and the youth show in itself was full of surprises.
